Following the imprint of the students of the previous session, this year also our rising stars have brought laurels to the school by commanding their place in various sports events. These blooming buds of our school exemplified their potential , enthusiasm, perseverance and endurance during the entire campaign and outshined the name of K.V No.2 Adampur by the glitter of their ascendancy .This year 97 students participated in KVS Regional Sports Meet and held the following positions:

2. Kabaddi Girls U-19: 02 students – Jasjeet kaur (XII-B) and Rajbir (IX-C)

3. Kho-Kho Boys U-19: 01 student – Abhishek (XII -B)

4. Kho-Kho Girls U-19 : 02 students – Sukhpreet (IX-C) & Pushpa (IX-C)

5. Kho-Kho Girls U-14 : 02 students – Swati (VII-B) & Harmanpreet (V-C)

6. Athletics Boys U-19: 01 student – Abhishek (XII-B)

It is a privelege to mention that K.V. NO. 2 Adampur annexed 21 medals in all (Gold-6,Silver-8,Bronze-7) in KVS Regional Sports Meet 2011. It is also worth stating that though we have won only 21 medals but out of 97 students,65 students have these accolades to their credit.

Our school was the venue for the regional sports meet Kabaddi (Girls) under-19 from 28.08.11 to 31.08.11

Inter-house Competitions were held in the month of July.

Glimpses of Sports Day for the session 2011-2012. Chief Guest Air Cmde M Fernandez, VM VSM AFS Adampur gave blessing and distributed prizes to the students. Our Annual Sports Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 29th and 30th Apr 2011 in the school ground. Around 600 students o various classes participated in different events. Our Honourable Principal Sh. Suresh Singh declared the Sports Meet Open

Five teams were sent in the Regional Sports Meet of Boys & Girls.

Kho-Kho Girls and Kabbaddi Boys bagged gold. First time Basket Ball team was introduced and had shown good performance.

In the Primary Wing, Housewise competiton of badminton and rest of the house wise competition will be held according to the calender of activities.

Inter House competitions were condcuted in the month of July & Aug 2009 for various games like kho-kho, badminton, kabbadi, volleyball, basketball for boys & girls.

Primary wing also conducted various sports activities like three legged race, obstacle race, 100/200 mt race, banana race, toffee race etc during the same period.

In the evening , our coach has given extra coaching during the month of sept & Oct 2009

Sports Day Celebrations

Sports Day was held on 17 & 18th Dec 2008 in the Football ground. Around 405 students of various classes participated in different events. The Principal Sh.V.P.Marwaha declared the day open on 17-12-2008 and took salute from the participating students and released coloured balloons.

The closing ceremony was chaired by Gp. Capt. P.W.Ambekar, Station Commander AFS Adampur and Chairman VMC on 18-12-2008.

The Guest of honour, Mrs. Veena Ambekar gave away medals & certificate to the winners.

Our six teams participated in Regional Sports Meet 2008 and the results of various games are as follows ----->

1.Kho-Kho(Boys)- Bronze 2. Kho-Kho(Girls)-Silver

3. Kabaddi(B)- Gold 4. Kabbadi(G)-IV

5. Athletics (B)-1 Gold, 1 Bronze 6. Athletics(G)-3 Silvers

And other eleven students participated in 39 KVS National Sports meet

Regional Sports meet Kho-Kho Girls 2008-09

Report & Result

Regional Sports meet Kho-Kho Girls 2008-09 was held from 10-9-2008 to 13-9-2008 . There was an over whelm response from the various KV's falling under the jurisdiction of Jammu region. 18 teams comprising of 18 escorts participated in the said event. The meet was inaugurated by Wing Comm. A. Mukherjee. Chief Operation Officer, AFS Adampur.

As per KVS rules league cum knock out matches was followed to conduct the matches. The final match was played between KV-1 Amritsar & KV-2 AFS Adampur.

The result of the matches were as follows:

1. KV-1 Amritsar -1st

2. KV-2 AFS Adampur - 2nd

3.KV Nangalbhur- 3rd

The Retreat Ceremony was Chaired by by the Principal.Medal and merit certificates were awarded to the winners and to the 2 runner up teams.

Inter House Matches were organized for the session 2008-09 in the Vidyalaya from 21-7-08 to 31-0708. The following games were organized:

1.Kabaddi (B&G)

2.Kho-Kho (B&G)

3.Volley ball (B & G)

4.Football (boys)

Trials of Basketball and Badminton was also conducted
